I was born in Rudyard, Michigan, Sept.9, 1935. Studied with Ben Turner as a boy, in Colorado while gowing up on my dads ranch. I have no formal training. Served in Naval Intelligence, as a photo interpreter. Did magazine covers for True West, and Frontier Times (1981-1985). Elected to Salmagundi Club of New York (1983). Painted as a resident gallery artist in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (1981-1984). Featured in Gallery section of Western Horseman Magazine in July 1997. Have works in corporate collections.
I have been represented by galleries in Santa Fe, Albuqurque, Suffern, New York. A piece of mine titled," Ahead of the storm" , a 22"x28" oil on gessoed masonite, was auctioned off at the Creative Arts Building , at the Pueblo Colorado Fairgrounds, blizzard benefit show.
I now live near Viroqua, Wisconsin on a small farm, where I maintain my studio. My wife and I have 6 grown children and 17 grandchildren.
