This biography from the Archives of AskART:

The following information was submitted by the artist in August of 2006:

I was born in Rudyard, Michigan, Sept.9, 1935.  Studied with Ben Turner as a boy, in Colorado while gowing up on my dads ranch.  I have no formal training.  Served in  Naval Intelligence, as a photo interpreter.   Did magazine covers for True West, and Frontier Times (1981-1985).  Elected to Salmagundi Club of New York (1983).  Painted as a resident gallery artist in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (1981-1984).  Featured in Gallery section of Western Horseman Magazine in July 1997.  Have works in corporate collections.

I have been represented by galleries in Santa Fe, Albuqurque, Suffern, New York.  A piece of mine titled," Ahead of the storm" , a 22"x28" oil on gessoed masonite, was auctioned off at the Creative Arts Building , at the Pueblo Colorado Fairgrounds, blizzard benefit show.

I now live near Viroqua, Wisconsin on a small farm, where I maintain my studio.  My wife and I have 6 grown children and 17 grandchildren.
