| Born in San Francisco, CA on Oct. 27, 1904, the son of painter John Henry Ramm. The younger Ramm began his art training under his father and continued at the CSFA. At age 18 he went to sea as a merchant seaman and painted watercolors of many parts of the world. During the 1930s he worked as an artist for the WPA and in the San Francisco shipyards during WWII. He later painted backdrops in Hollywood for movies such as "The Desert Song" as well as many murals in restaurants and nightclubs in S (showing 500 of 730 characters). |
