| | Born in Manden, ND on Jan. 22, 1920. Roby moved to California as a child. He received bachelor’s degrees from the CSFA and San Jose State University. He spent most of WWII in Europe as a staff artist for the Stars and Stripes military newspaper. He later settled in Salinas where he was a staff artist for the Californian newspaper and taught at Salinas Adult School. He died in Salinas, CA on July 29, 1996. Member: Salinas Valley AA.
