| A landscape painter and illustrator, he was born on March 1, 1897 in New York City to Bohemian immigrants who came to the U.S. in the late 1880s/early 1890s.
He was married to Marie Bartnik and lived in Staten Island, New York. He listed himself as an illustrator in the census.
Joseph Reichart, Jr. died on November 12, 1966.
