| Welsh Born artist, Julie Roberts, is inspired by history, literature, picture books and memory. She recreates rooms and furniture relating to historical subjects. The artist's work includes a series of paintings of doll houses from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and 1960s capturing the sociology and history of the home in each decade. Roberts also did a series on "Jack the Ripper" focusing on his victims and using original photographs to depict each woman.
Julie Roberts earned a MFA from Glasgow School of Art and lives in Carlisle, England.
