Born and raised on the Crow reservation in Lodgegrass, Montana, he does Indian paintings that reflect the influence of his father and mother and a home filled with love of fine art. His father was a musician, horseman, and collector of Remington and Russell prints, and his mother did meticulous beadwork and artistic sewing.
He studied at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with James McGrath, where he was allowed to explore his history and culture and experimen (showing 500 of 3876 characters). |
