| | Born in Nevada in 1863. By 1880 Rice had moved to San Francisco and was soon studying at the School of Design under Virgil Williams. During the 1890s she was a pupil of William Keith at his Friday night classes at his home in Berkeley. She then lived in San Rafael with her husband L. B. Roe. Widowed, about 1915 she wed Wm B.
