The following information was taken from the artist's website with her permission (April 2006):
She was born on January 4, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and showed a talent for art from an early age on. Encouraged by her parents and teachers, Linda studied oil painting with John Shelby Metcalf at age nine(1961-62), a medium she still predominantely employs. She credits her parents with opening her eyes to the natural beauty of this land, and still today speciali (showing 500 of 1543 characters). |
