A painter and printmaker based in New York City, Lore Riess was a
student at the Art Studetns League* of New York and the Bauhaus School*
in Berlin. She also spent time in Tokyo where she studied Sumi*
Drawing and Calligraphy*.
Exhibition venues included the Nihon Bashi Gallery in Tokyo, 1965;
National Association of Women Artists*, 1969 (M.J. Kaplan Prize);
National Society of Painters and Sculptors; Old Jaffa Nora Gallery in
Israel, 1970; International Miniature Print Ex (showing 500 of 1181 characters). |
