| | Born in Santa Clara County, CA on July 24, 1895, the daughter of William Regnart who developed vast orchard lands near Cupertino. Marjorie received her teaching credentials at the San Jose State Teachers College (1915) and her M.A. degree from Stanford University in 1931. For 31 years she taught art in the public schools of San Jose. Upon retirement in 1946, she moved to the Monterey Peninsula where she painted seascapes and wrote poetry.
