| Marjorie Rodgers was born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1927. Rodgers moved to Los Angeles in the 1930s. She studied at the Best Art Foundation School and graduated from Frank Wiggins School of Art in 1947. She has lived in Fresno, California since 1951. A visit to New Mexico in 1972 inspired her to paint western genre and Taos scenes. In California she has mostly painted landscapes of the High Sierras.
