Born in London, England Matthew Ritchie attended Camberwell School of Art from 1983-1986. In 1988 he moved to New York City where he created his art-painting, photography and sculpture. His big break came when he ran into a former art instructor who found him a job and a place to live.
Ritchie's installations often mix science, art and religion. His first installation, "Working Model" opened in 1995 at Basilico Fine Arts. He has exhibited installations at Mass MOCA, Miami MOCA, and MIT. (showing 500 of 743 characters). |
