Michal Rovner was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and raised in a secular household. She completed a mandatory two year commitment to the Israeli army and then enrolled in Tel Aviv University. She graduated with a degree in photography from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. In 1987 Rovner moved to New York though she frequently visits her six acre farm in Israel.
In the early 1990s, Rovner had solo exhibitions in New York galleries and at the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1996 Rovn (showing 500 of 867 characters). |
