The following is from Kristina Turechek who quotes from the "50th Anniversary Retrospective Art Exhibition of Phillips Mill Community Association of New Hope, Pennsylvania, May 26-June 24, 1979. In that exhibit, Ethel Wallace entered "Barge Canal - New Hope", c. 1934, oil, 21 x 16, Lent by Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Sidon.
Although born in New Jersey, Ethel Wallace was a long-time resident of New Hope. A painter since childhood, the artist attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, aft (showing 500 of 1609 characters). |
