| He was a Scenic Artist in Boston. In 1860, he studied under George Innes, Hudson River School, at Medford, Mass. In 1875, he was a scenic painter for Howard Athenaeum ( the Old Howard Theater, Scully Square, Boston). He painted scenery for many early Boston theaters and easel- painted still- lives in oils.
