| Phyllis Ridderhof Martin studied art first at Hollywood High School and continued at UCLA. Upon graduation, she began teaching evening classes and continued to do so for 30 years. In the 1930s she continued her studies at Art Center School of Design and Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. After an extended trip to Europe in 1950, her works became more modernist.
Exhibited: Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 1940; Los Angeles Art Ass’n, 1967.
Works held: Hamilton High School (Hollywood).
