| Born in Springfield, OH in 1846. Rebecca was the daughter of Judge Wm A. Rogers who encouraged her pursuit of art. She studied portraiture at the Cincinnati Art Academy under Charles T. Weber and continued in London at the South Kensington Art School. Returning to Ohio, she taught in Springfield and Dayton. She had further study at the Boston Museum School and, while there, her health suffered, necessitating a change to a milder climate. About 1901 she moved to San Diego, CA and began exhib (showing 500 of 926 characters). |
