|  Richard W.Rourke was born in Massachusetts and taught art in the Needham Publis Schools for many years. He graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and obtained a masters degree from Boston College, in addition to studies at Boston University. He retired to Cotuit on Cape Cod where he maintained a studio and is best known for Cape seascapes, New England landscapes and still lives in impressionist and realistic styles.
He died in 1993 at age 64 while traveling to Santa Fe Robert
