| Robert Doke Robinson was born on November 11, 1922 in Kansas City. He studied at the Minneapolis School of Art, the Walker Art Center School, and earned a BA, BS, and MA from the Univ. of Minnesota working with S. Chatwood Burton. Attended Oklahoma State Univ. studying with Ivan Doseff and Schaefer-Simmern. Owned R.D. Robinson Advertising Co. from 1951-58 and was art director at Grubb-Clealand Advertising Agency. Taught at Castleton (VT) State College beginning in 1960.
