| Woodcarver, painter. Born in Butler County, KS on June 19, 1888. Ropp settled in Laguna Beach, CA in 1921. There he became a successful builder, insurance and real estate agent. In his leisure he painted marines and desert landscapes. He was the creator and director of The Pageant of the Masters, Laguna Beach Festival of the Arts. In 1961 he retired to the Yucca Valley, north of Palm Springs, where he taught art classes until his death on May 8, 1974. Member: AAPL; San Gabriel Art Guild.
