S. Estelle McIntosh Rouse was born in California on July 2, 1880.  She eventually settled in Riverside, California. 

Known for her metal works, and wood carving, she also painted in watercolors.  In 1932 she maintained a studio home on Mount Rubidoux in Riverside.  She exhibited her works in that area.

Rouse died in Riverside, California on August 16, 1968.
