| Contemporary super-realist-surrealist Samuel Rose died of cancer on February 18, 2008, in Macedonia, Ohio. He studied for seventeen years with the renowned teacher-painter-historian R.H.Ives Gammell at Boston’s Fenway Studios and in Williamstown and was considered one of the most unique contemporary Boston school painters. He also studied with Basil Kalashnifoff in Cleveland, Ohio; Henry Hensche and Robert Douglas Hunter at the Cape Cod School of Art in Provincetown, MA; and at Kent (showing 500 of 7400 characters). |
