Information taken from: "Gazette Telegraph" newspaper of Colorado Springs, CO. Dates: 9/14/68, 8/25/57, 7/6/58, 7/55, 3/4/55 and 3/7/55. Thomas A Reaney was born in Canada in 1916. He studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, MI. during the early 30's. Exhibited at the Denver Museum, Joslyn Museum in Omaha, NE., Detroit Institute of Arts, Museum at Claremont, CA.. Colorado Fine Arts Center, Colo. Springs, CO.
Moved to Colorado Springs, CO. around 1945, where he worked with Boardman Robinson. Reaney, whose paintings are in private collections throughout the United States, in Canada, and in Europe, worked in oils and preferred landscapes and figure studies as his subjects. His paintings were exhibited throughout Colorado. He lived in Colorado Springs, CO until his death in 1971.
