| Born in an army hospital in Fort Collins, CO on May 17, 1917. Rogers studied with Hugh Breckenridge at the PAFA in 1934 and then earned a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina and her M.A. at UC Berkeley. From the early 1940s she was the wife of a naval officer and living in Shanghai and other places. After her husband was killed, she returned to Berkeley in 1950 and an active art career. In 1971 she moved to the Monterey Peninsula and purchased a farm on the Carmel Valley Road. (showing 500 of 732 characters). |
