| | Born in Oakland, CA on March 21, 1906. Severy studied at the CCAC. He remained in Oakland except for two years in the late 1930s when he was in Hawaii as art editor for the Honolulu Star Bulletin. For 31 years he worked as a cartographer for Rand McNally Publishers while painting in his leisure. Working in oil, he produced landscapes, seascapes, and still lifes. He died in Berkeley, CA on Feb. 5, 1976.
