Alfredo Santos was a Mexican artist I met in Margaretville, NY in the 60's. He had an article featuring his work in either Time or Newsweek around that time. He had done the Presidents in wood, and they were displayed I think in Arlinton cemetery. I remember Nixon's head was made out of a toilet seat cover.
I have a picture that Santos did in 1969. It's a head of what looks like Jesus, and the eyes are knots in the woo (showing 500 of 782 characters). |
