Biography from Jim's Of Lambertville:
Artist and stained glass window designer Alice Bennett was born in Pittsburgh. She began her art studies at the Pittsburgh School of Design for Women. She continued her studies at the Carnegie Institute of Technology where she met and married fellow artist, George Sotter. She was also a student at the Brothers Stained Glass Window Studio with Horace Rudy, father of Bucks County sculptor, Charles Rudy. She and her husband came to the New Hope area about 1920 and remained permanently. The Sotters opened a stained glass studio in Holicong, Pennsylvania, a town five miles south of New Hope. Alice was active in the workings of the Sotter Studio.

She was a member of the Phillips Mill Community Association and the Woodmere Art Museum. She exhibited in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and at the Phillips Mill near New Hope. Besides collaborating with her husband on stained glass window commissions, she painted landscapes of the area in and around New Hope, and floral still lifes.
