| Alice Hinds Stone (1859-c.1952)
She was born on October 12, 1859 in Dorchester, Mass., the daughter of Justin and Mary Thayer Hinds. She married William Stone (American 1842-1913) on December 1, 1887. In 1893 they bought the Bass River house and the windmill known as the Judah Baker windmill. Both William and Alice did several paintings around this house for many years. Alice died c. 1952.
While her husband William was born in Brooklyn, Alice worked mainly in Massachusetts. One connection was with Grundman Studios in Boston.
