| Born in San Francisco on Sept. 3, 1866. Alice was the daughter of Irving M. Scott, owner of the Union Iron Works as well as an art collector and patron. Alice was raised in an artistic atmosphere, the family mansion on Rincon Hill being the scene of many plush affairs where such notables as President McKinley and George Inness were entertained. She was a pupil of Wm Keith for many years. Portraits by Keith of Alice and her father hang in the CGA. She wed physician Reginald Knight Smith in 1 (showing 500 of 778 characters). |
