The following biograpical data was submitted March 2006 by Ingrid
Swanson, art advisor and writer, whose article "Anna Hunting
Stanley"was published in American Art Review, April 2006.
Born in Yellow Springs, Ohio, Anna Huntington Stanley was the
daughter of General Stanley. The family moved to Detroit in 1874
and to New York City in 1876. She attended the Buffalo Female
Academy from 1878 to 1882, graduating with honors and the recognition
of her artistc (showing 500 of 3762 characters). |
