This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data compared to the extensive information about American artists.

Born in the Argentine province of Córdoba, Antonio Seguí studied painting in both Argentina and Europe. He had his first one man show in 1957.

Seguí’s abstract style became more figurative as his work matured during the early 1960s. The evolution of his work reveals an increasing number of protagonists that show greater movement and anxiety.

In 1991 he was honored with a major retrospective exhibition in Buenos Aires at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes.
