Born on the Northern Cheyenne reservation in southeastern Montana, Bently Spang is a conceptual artist known primarily for mixed-media installations that blend contemporary and traditional materials. Some of his pieces have daily-life items such as granola bars, potato chips and dried meat combined with animal horns and furniture.
