Bill Starke uses a variety of mediums to create his artwork. Primarily a sculptor, Starke also uses drawing and printmaking to express his ideas. He is graduate of Metropolitan State College in Denver and credits the artists Ned Jacob, Jon Zahourek and Jim Westergard as influences on his work.
As in the classical tradition most of the sculptor's work are of the nude male figure. They are meant to be universal representations of humankind. Starke wants his sculptures, especially those for (showing 500 of 809 characters). |
