Lyne T. "Bud" Shackelford was born in Washington, DC on Nov. 15, 1918. “Bud” Shackelford studied at the University of Alabama and Art Students League in NYC. In the late 1930s he moved to Los Angeles and further at Chouinard Art Institute while employed by Walt Disney.
After serving in the Army in WWII, he returned to California and settled in San Diego where he became prominent in the local art scene. His works are prime examples of the “California Style.” (showing 500 of 3240 characters). |
