Known as Chief Terry Saul, a leader of the Choctaw/Chickasaw tribe, he
was an illustrator, educator, painter, muralist and commercial
artist. Chief Saul was the son of Nona Anderson and John B. Saul
and grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He attended high school at
Bacone College in Bacone, Oklahoma.
He served in the Army during World War II , and in 1948, earned a
Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at the University of Oklahoma, and an
