From Washington DC, Carl Schoenberger is a ceramic artist whose near
life-size figure work is intended to mock all religions through
humor---a whimsical approach to something usually treated with great
reverence. Among his subjects are well-known religious figures
such as St. Matthew and Buddha.
He also does portrait busts and has done statues portraying public
personalities such as John McCain, Matthew Broderick, and Luke
Skywalker as evangelists and Michael Jackso (showing 500 of 816 characters). |
