| Ceila Burnham Kent Seymour was born in Buffalo, NY on Dec. 15, 1869. Seymour studied in NYC at the ASL and Pratt Institute, and in Europe. She moved to Oakland, CA in 1915. About 1930 she settled on the Monterey Peninsula and established a studio-home in Carmel where she remained. The wife of Robert Kent, she died in the Salinas Valley Hospital on June 27, 1958. Her works include landscapes, portraits, and figure studies.
