Charles C. Svendsen was born in Cincinnati December 7,1871. He was the only son of Charles J.F. Svendsen, who established an internationally known banner, flag, and military equipment business in Cincinnati in 1866. The business was continued after the father's death in 1903 by the family until 1925.
Charles C. Svendsen at the age of six attended private drawing school and in his youth was a student of Thomas Noble at the Cincinnati Art Academy. He was also a pupil of Bouguereau and Gabr (showing 500 of 2017 characters). |
