Charles Schorre, 1925-1996
Charles Schorre was born in Cuero, Texas. In 1948, he received a BFA from The University of Texas at Austin. Moving to Houston shortly thereafter, he took a job as an illustrator at an advertising firm.
From 1949 to 1955, Schorre was an instructor at the Museum School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. He served as an assistant professor of fine art at Rice University from 1960 to 1972. His work was shown in Houston at the DuB (showing 500 of 1024 characters). |
