Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Chris Savido knew at an early age that he wanted to be an artist. While still in high school he took classes at Carnegie Mellon and the Center for the Arts in Shadyside. Savido went on to study illustration at Syracuse University.
His career took off when a media storm was created by his painting, "Bush Monkeys" which from a distance resembles a portrait of President Bush, but up close is a sea of monkey heads in a marsh. The painting was selected by "Anim (showing 500 of 1203 characters). |
