This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Chris Storr has always enjoyed the gifts of having a creative vision. Born and raised in Arizona, early on she captured the sweeping landscapes of that region through photography. She continued in that medium after moving to Provincetown in the mid-80's.

Returning to school in 1996, Chris earned her degree in expressive art therapy and decided to turn her avocation into a vocation. She began exploring different art forms including ceramics, steel forging and painting in various mediums pastels, watercolors and oil. She has continued her studies by taking classes at the South Shore Art Center and the Massachusetts College of Art.

She is currently enrolled in a bronze sculpting course at the Massachusetts College of Art, and is in private training with F. Ronald Fowler. Ron's influence has helped Chris move from concept-related to image-related painting, and adopt a more realist style to her work.

Chris received enthusiastic reviews of her oil painting" The Right to Fly" which she donated to the HRC dinner in 2000, and she received respectable activity on her painting that sold at Art Auction III in Provincetown in February 2001.
