| | Born in Omaha, NE on Sept. 27, 1886. Clare's marriage to Harry Lind ended in divorce; she later wed Charles Soderstrom. By the 1920s she had moved to Los Angeles and was active in the local art scene. She studied with Jack Wilkinson Smith whose influence is seen in her landscapes and still lifes. She lived in Los Angeles until her demise on Nov. 10, 1972. Exh: San Gabriel Artists Guild, 1936. | Source:
