Born in Chicago in 1923, David Sanders lived in the Indiana dunes and published "Dunes Country Magazine". He was also the founder of the Chesterton Art Fair that decades later remain a major annual summertime attraction.
He began painting at age ten and eventually attended the University of Wisconsin. His works such as "Chutzpah at Noon" were exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and today are part of the art collections of Valparaiso, Indiana and Purdue Universities.
