| Texas artist Donna Shuford had her first art training while living in Connecticut. Her neighbor, artist Ethel Todd George, taught her the basics of watercolor painting. Initially Shuford painted florals and landscapes though now she is known for her large-scale, close-up studies of flowers and shells.
