The following information is provided March 2004 by Tom Crisp of New York.
I have a drawing by Doris Speigel executed in the 1940s, according to the dealer from whom I purchased it. Ms. Speigel was an illustrator working in New York at the time. Her work appeared in the New Yorker magazine and she also illustrated at least one book (about Paris). The dealer had a dozen or more of her drawings, basically sketches made of people on the street or in the subway of NYC.
My drawing is o (showing 500 of 809 characters). |
