| Born in Godlevo, Russia, Dorothy Segal was a painter who lived primarily in Hartford, Connecticut where she was a teacher at the Randall School beginning 1944.
She studied at the Boston Museum School of Fine Art and at Boston University and exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy, the Corcoran School of Art, the Jerome Stavola Gallery in Hartford, and the Society of Independent Artists in New York City.
