Utah artist, Doyle Shaw was born in Boise, Idaho and studied art at the University of Utah with the late Alvin Gittins in portrait and figure, and independently with LeConte Stewart in landscape painting, who happened to live three blocks away in the same town of Kaysville, Utah. After teaching a year at the University of Utah, Doyle opened a studio for full-time fine art.
