This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Oakland, CA on Jan. 9, 1892. Stoddart studied at the CSFA, UC Berkeley, CCAC, Mills College in Oakland, and with Dong Kingman. She began painting about 1927. Married twice, she was the wife of artist Louis Siegriest during her last ten years. Her tiny pictures were often fantasies with radiant colors of commonplace creatures such as frogs, raccoons, or a tropical lagoon surrounded by exotic birds. A lifelong resident of Oakland, while vacationing in Mexico with her husband, Mrs. Siegriest died on Dec. 23, 1966. Exh: SFAA; Calif. WC Society, 1942-55; SF Women Artists; Gump's (SF); Calif. State Fairs.
