| The following, submitted August 2005, is from the artist.
Edward Donald Storms was born in Brady, Texas in 1924. Hewas a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force and flew over Germany in WWII. He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and soon became an award-winning photographer.
He then moved into the field of contemporary art, first as a painter and then as a sculptor. In 1961 he began an apprenticeship with Fort Worth sculptor Charles Williams.
