| Edward Field Sanford, Junior Edward Field Sanford, Junior was born in New York on April 6th, 1886, a descendant of old New York and New England families. He studied at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design in 1907 and 1908. During the next two years he attended the Academie Julian at Paris and the Royal Academy at Munich and traveled extensively in Europe, studying the sculpture of all periods. In 1914 he modeled a bronze "Pegasus" for the Rhode Island School of Design (showing 500 of 2137 characters). |
